Thank You Greater New Orleans Foundation and Norco Economic Development Fund

Jul 30, 2020 news

A huge thank you to the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the Norco Economic Development Fund for their generous grant awarded to the River Road Historical Society. The RRHS utilized funds from the grants to complete two of three projects. We completed a 10 ft. wide brick walkway that leads from the Plantation Store to end of the Manor House. This new pathway allows guests with mobility issues to safely and securely move from the Plantation Store to the Manor House. For our second project, we completed 750 ft. of resurfacing on our main road leading to our parking lot located at the back of our property. Both completed projects provide increased mobility, safety, and security to guests for years to come. Come take a tour of Destrehan Plantation, "The Gateway to the River Parishes," and see our recent completed projects.   Sincerely,  Tracy Smith  Executive Director Destrehan Plantation    … Read More »
