Destrehan Plantation’s award-winning, nationally renowned Heritage Education Program offers students of all ages the opportunity to step back in time and witness history firsthand. Explore the beautifully restored house and the magnificent grounds, featuring 200-year-old live oak trees, as well as educational exhibits and demonstrations. Student tours are grade-level appropriate and meet the school district curriculum benchmark and standards for grades K-12.
