Destrehan Plantation is the closest plantation to the French Quarter – and even closer from the airport. And unlike in the old days, when folks had to travel by horse, carriage, steamboat, or even on foot, Destrehan is easily accessible by rental car, tour bus, Uber, Lyft, or private chauffeur. In fact, we are the only plantation in the area where Uber & Lyft provide transportation to & from New Orleans.
