From October 14th, 2024, to November 5th, 2024, Destrehan Plantation’s regular tour will feature special elements reflecting the customs and traditions of mourning in the 19th century. While exploring the rich history of the plantation, visitors will encounter rooms subtly adorned with mourning decor, offering a glimpse into how families of the past honored their departed loved ones. Come take a tour starting at 9:30 AM, with tours available every half hour until the last tour at 4 PM. Tours leave on the hour and every half hour with the first tour beginning at 9:30 am and the last tour beginning at 4:00 pm.
