Private Tours:
Want the plantation all to yourself? Plan on asking lots of questions and want to go at your own pace? We provide private tours fifteen minutes before and after the hour, so they do not interfere with our regularly scheduled tours. We require a minimum of four people to book a private tour. A reservation is required two weeks in advance. The admission cost is $35.00 per person. Note: If your private tour is booked by a tour operator, their admission is free.
Group Tours:
School groups, clubs, and organizations of all kinds are frequent guests at Destrehan Plantation. Tours also fit nicely on any destination wedding itinerary.
The admission cost for a group of 20 or more adults is $18.00 per person, plus one complimentary admission for the tour director and bus driver. A reservation is required at least two weeks in advance.
Student Field Trips:
No history book or documentary will capture your students’ imaginations like a tour of Destrehan Plantation. Student Field Trips are booked through our Heritage Education Program. Please see our "Education" page for more information.
All proceeds from private and group tours go to the restoration and preservation of Destrehan Plantation and its dependency buildings.
